Volleyball Recap: James River Midlothian Comes Up Short

James River Midlothian managed to slip by Mechanicsville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rapids lost 3-0 to the Mustangs on Monday. The Rapids have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

James River Midlothian's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Mechanicsville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

James River Midlothian and Mechanicsville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Rapids will take on L.C. Bird at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (127 vs. 355). Meanwhile, Mechanicsville (ranked 36th) will meet Henrico (ranked 268th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
