Basketball Recap: Union City Takes a Loss

Union City lost against Union County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Union City Indians took a 42-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Union County Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while the Patriots are ranked 165th).

This is the second loss in a row for Union City and nudges their season record down to 5-13. As for Union County, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Union City will challenge Mississinawa Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union County, they will take on Northeastern at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northeastern will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Union County surely won't give up without a fight.
