Volleyball Recap: Manual Falls to Hinkley in First Game of Season

Manual kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 3-1 to the Hinkley Thunder.

While Manual ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 23-25, 25-18.

Manual lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Danny Flores, who had 35 digs. Joshua Maes was another key player, getting 26 digs.

The victory got Hinkley back to even at 1-1.

Manual has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Ponderosa on the 6th. As for Hinkley, they will welcome Overland at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
