Softball Recap: Fort Meade Comes Up Short

Fort Meade lost against Sebring back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Miners came up short against the Blue Streaks, falling 12-2. The Miners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Makayla Deleon was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played.

Fort Meade's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Sebring, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

Coincidentally, Fort Meade and Sebring will both be playing Auburndale the next time they take the field. The Blue Streaks will host the Bloodhounds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Miners will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
