Basketball Game Preview: Mescalero Apache Chiefs vs. Capitan Tigers

The Mescalero Apache Chiefs will challenge the Capitan Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Mescalero Apache and five for Capitan.

Last Friday, Mescalero Apache took a blow against Texico, falling 86-20. The contest marked the Chiefs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Capitan came up short against Lordsburg on Saturday, falling 67-44.

Capitan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Mescalero Apache, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Everything came up roses for Mescalero Apache against Capitan in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured an 81-48 victory. Will Mescalero Apache repeat their success, or does Capitan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
