Columbus East had lost eight games at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 3-4 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They claimed a resounding 60-29 win over the South Decatur Cougars. The Olympians' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

As for South Decatur, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

South Decatur's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Raegan Benge, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalilah Martin, who had ten points and five steals.

Coming up, Columbus East will challenge Trinity Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Decatur, they will face off against Jac-Cen-Del at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.4 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
