Recap: Ringgold Redskins vs. Arcadia Hornets
After a string of five wins, the Ringgold Redskins's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 68-60 to Arcadia. Ringgold was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Arcadia apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Ringgold saw an underclassman step up: Jordyn Wilson scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Xzorion Willis, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Ringgold struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Ringgold's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Arcadia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ringgold will challenge Homer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Arcadia, they will head out on the road to take on Lincoln Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
