Football Recap: Dimond Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Dimond extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were dealt a 56-7 loss at the hands of the Soldotna Stars. The Lynx were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

Carter Woodhead threw for 44 yards and one TD. Austin Young was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards and one touchdown.

As for Soldotna, the win was the sixth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 39.3 points thus far.

Andon Wolverton had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 108 yards and four scores on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024. Owen Buckbee was another key player, rushing for 52 yards and one TD.

Looking ahead, Dimond will take on Service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Soldotna, they will face off against Eagle River at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
