Volleyball Recap: Boulder City Comes Up Short

Boulder City was the 2-0 winner over Mater Academy East Las Vegas when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Ivy Dineen paced Boulder City's offense, picking up nine kills. Dineen got some help from Ally Jappe and her ten assists. Jappe also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Hayden Nordstrom, each putting up three.

Boulder City's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Coming up, Boulder City is taking a road trip to take on Moapa Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Virgin Valley on the 27th.
