Basketball Recap: Fillmore Flashes vs. Carpinteria Warriors
If the Fillmore Flashes were riding high off their 76-24 takedown of the Malibu Sharks last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Fillmore fell to the Warriors 38-32. If Fillmore was looking for revenge after losing 45-33 to them when the teams met on Thursday, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Several Flashes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaac Weslow, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Weslow has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Octavio Orozco, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Fillmore has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Carpinteria, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.
Fillmore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carpinteria also has no future games currently scheduled.
