Soccer Recap: Wilkes-Barre Comes Up Short

If Wilkes-Barre was riding high fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Greater Nanticoke Area on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolfpack took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wyoming Valley West Spartans on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Wilkes-Barre of the 1-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Johnny Mendola and Robbie Miller scored both of Wilkes-Barre's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Wilkes-Barre's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 3-3-1. As for Wyoming Valley West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
