On SaturdayJohn Hay kept up with New Lexington until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The New Lexington Panthers were the clear victor by a 65-40 margin over John Hay. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 51.6 points per game.

New Lexington had a senior duo take command as Bentley Hanson went 7 for 13 on his way to 26 points and eight steals and Isaiah Stephens went 9 of 18 on his way to 22 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Stephens has scored at least a third of New Lexington's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paul Stenson, who posted three points.

New Lexington now has a winning record of 5-4. As for John Hay, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

New Lexington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-42 win against Nelsonville-York on the 3rd. As for John Hay, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-53 victory against Valley Forge on the 4th.
