Basketball Recap: Forest Park Comes Up Short

Forest Park lost against Potomac Senior last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Forest Park Bruins were outmatched by the Potomac Senior Panthers and fell 61-20. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 351st, while the Panthers are ranked 113th).

Among those leading the charge was Taylor Allen, who posted 20 points. Meme Conteh was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Forest Park has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Potomac Senior, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Forest Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 49-41 loss against Hylton on the 4th. Potomac Senior has also already played their next game, a 60-47 win against Charles J. Colgan on the 4th.
