Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Brownsburg walked away with it. They snuck past the Avon Orioles with a 44-40 win on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Orioles back in January, they had to take a 42-40 loss.

Brownsburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Devon Craig led the charge by going 5-for-9 on his way to 13 points. Branden Sharpe also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Avon lost, don't look at DeAndre Lott-Hancock. Despite the final result, he shot 67% from the field to rack up 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Lott-Hancock is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Keriawn Berry was another key player, putting up ten points.

Brownsburg has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season. Avon's defeat dropped their record down to 20-4.

Brownsburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-47 victory against Plainfield on the 7th. Avon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
