Football Preview: Southeast Whitfield County Raiders vs. Mt. Zion Bulldogs
The Southeast Whitfield County Raiders will face off against the Mt. Zion Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southeast Whitfield County will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Friday, Southeast Whitfield County was beaten by Northwest Whitfield 43-7. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-0.
Meanwhile, Mt. Zion won against Riverdale back in August with 20 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Mt. Zion snuck past Stephenson with a 20-14 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Jaguars are ranked 123rd).
Southeast Whitfield County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mt. Zion, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
