Basketball Recap: Hunter Hoy Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Jersey Shore

Central Mountain's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 62-55 win over the Jersey Shore Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Central Mountain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hunter Hoy led the charge by going 10 for 20 on his way to 29 points and three steals. That's the most points Hoy has posted since back in December of 2023. Noah Wells was another key player, going 6 of 7 on his way to 13 points.

Central Mountain's record is now 4-6. As for Jersey Shore, they moved to 7-3 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Central Mountain will head out to take on Midd-West at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Central Mountain is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.9 points per game this season. As for Jersey Shore, they will host Shamokin Area at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Jersey Shore knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Shamokin Area likes a good challenge.
