St. Edward has gone 9-1 against Timothy Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Last Tuesday, St. Edward strolled past Rosary with points to spare, taking the game 48-29. Given the Green Wave's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Royals are ranked 538th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Timothy Christian beat Chicago Christian 43-38 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Timothy Christian found their leader in sophomore Elisabeth Van Den Berg, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maria Pozol-Neigo, who posted five points along with eight boards and five assists.

St. Edward is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.1 points per game. As for Timothy Christian, they pushed their record up to 12-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

St. Edward skirted past Timothy Christian 29-26 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Will St. Edward repeat their success, or does Timothy Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
