Recap: Ainsworth Bulldogs vs. Broken Bow Indians
The Ainsworth Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Broken Bow on the road to the tune of 77-46. With Ainsworth ahead 42-16 at the half, the match was all but over already.
It was another big night for Carter Nelson, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and six blocks. Those six blocks set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Appelt, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Ainsworth pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Broken Bow, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Ainsworth will be home for the holidays to greet Cozad at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cozad will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. As for Broken Bow, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Paul on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (St. Paul is ranked 174th, while Broken Bow is ranked 191st).
