Marquez is 8-2 against Elizabeth since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Gladiators will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 2:30 p.m. One thing working in Marquez's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last five matchups.

Marquez's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Sotomayor. It was an even better day for Matthew Velazquez as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Elizabeth's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They and Maywood Academy finished up their match with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Elizabeth's first draw of the season.

Marquez pushed their record up to 11-3-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those three matchups. Elizabeth's draw gives them a new season record of 10-3-1.

Everything went Marquez's way against Elizabeth in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Marquez made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gladiators since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
