Football Recap: Blue Hill Bobcats vs. Lawrence-Nelson Raiders
Blue Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Lawrence-Nelson Raiders and fell 58-16. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.
Loss or not, Blue Hill got some senior leadership from Jack Canterberry and Jace Hajny. Canterberry rushed for 83 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries, while Hajny rushed for 68 yards and one TD on only six carries. Canterberry's longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Wyatt Frey was a one-man wrecking crew For Lawrence-Nelson. as he threw for 285 yards and five touchdowns on only 19 passes. Those 285 passing yards gave Frey a new career-high.
Blue Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lawrence-Nelson, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Coming up, Blue Hill will face off against Giltner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lawrence-Nelson, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Wilcox-Hildreth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
