Baseball Recap: Holy Family's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Holy Family entered their tilt with Niwot on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They beat the Cougars by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-2. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Holy Family got a great performance from Joshua Grenzenbach as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Grenzenbach has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kaden Hopkin was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Logan Seifarth was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Holy Family's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Niwot, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Looking ahead, Holy Family will head out to take on Legacy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Niwot, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Frederick at 4:00 p.m.
