Volleyball Recap: MacDonald Takes a Loss

If MacDonald was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Stratford Prep on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Condor fell 3-1 to the Basis Independent Silicon Valley Bobcats on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-18, 15-25, 25-11.

Gillian Mabilin paced MacDonald's offense, picking up eight kills. Mabilin got some help from Hana Aman and her 12 assists. Aman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

MacDonald's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Basis Independent Silicon Valley, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. MacDonald will head out to take on Yerba Buena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Basis Independent Silicon Valley, they will venture away from home to challenge Gunn at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
