Volleyball Recap: Pueblo South Colts vs. Mitchell Marauders
Pueblo South had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Mitchell Marauders. The Colts have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Marauders, too.
Pueblo South walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 19-25, 25-19, 25-21.
Their offense was headlined by Kayleena Kraemer and Shay Timme, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Mikyla Lessar-Grasmick and her eight assists. Aiesha Meraz-Martinez controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
Pueblo South will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Canon City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mitchell, they will head out to square off against Pueblo Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
