Baseball Game Preview: Squalicum Storm vs. Sehome Mariners

The Squalicum Storm are taking a road trip to face off against the Sehome Mariners at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Squalicum hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Monday just wasn't the day for Squalicum's offense. They came up short against Sedro-Woolley on Monday, falling 6-0. Storm fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Cubs since Monday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sehome, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They never let Meridian get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Monday.

Sehome's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Squalicum, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
