Football Recap: Thornton Comes Up Short

After soaring to 40 points the game before, Thornton was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They fell 15-7 to the Legacy Lightning. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lightning this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-6 two weeks ago.

London Lor threw for 129 yards on 12 of 21 attempts. Olivia Mateo was her top target, picking up 64 receiving yards.

Thornton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Legacy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Thornton has already played their next contest, a 26-0 loss against Northglenn on the 13th. As for Legacy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 34-0 win against Eagle Ridge Academy on the 13th.
