Basketball Recap: Skyview Academy Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

On Tuesday, the SkyView Academy Hawks beat the Platte Valley Broncos 45-33. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Reagan Lewis had an outrageously good game as he went 7 of 12 en route to 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Clay Cosart, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Platte Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rocco Minner, who put up 11 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Minner a new career-high in boards. Regan Edstrom was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.

SkyView Academy's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Platte Valley, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

The future could be bright for both SkyView Academy and Platte Valley: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. SkyView Academy will try to hand Peyton their third-straight loss when the two meet at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th. Meanwhile, Platte Valley will try to hand Northridge their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
