Soccer Game Preview: Childersburg vs. Faith Christian

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Childersburg take on Faith Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Childersburg fell victim to Donoho and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Falcons are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Faith Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against St. Clair County, falling 5-0.

Faith Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Childersburg, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Childersburg beat Faith Christian by a goal when the teams last played back in March of 2023, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Childersburg since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
