Hobey Hartman posted a new career-low in hits on Monday. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Hartman and Gilbert Classical Academy are taking a road trip to take on Glendale Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 119 places lower in Arizona), but they're not letting that get them down.
