Softball Recap: Pine Forest Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Pine Forest finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Escambia Gators, falling 12-1. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Elizabeth Rudd spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and 11 unearned) runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024.

Pine Forest's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Escambia, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Coincidentally, Pine Forest and Escambia will both be playing Pensacola the next time they take the field. Escambia will host Pensacola at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Pine Forest will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
