Football Recap: Franklin Heights Finds Home Field Redemption Against Whitehall-Yearling

There's no place like home for Franklin Heights, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Whitehall-Yearling Rams 23-7 on Friday.

Dae'Shaun Cowan produced another solid effort rushing for 161 yards and two TDs. Franklin Heights is undefeated when Cowan posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.

Franklin Heights didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Antwan Steward and Cowan. Franklin Heights got some further help from Jaylyn Hidalgo Aquino: he picked up 1.5 sacks and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).

When it comes to explaining why Whitehall-Yearling lost, don't look at Jayden Sealey. Despite the final result, he rushed for 96 yards. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 95 yards.

Franklin Heights' victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Whitehall-Yearling, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
