Basketball Recap: Homestead Piles Up the Points Against Hartford

Homestead put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 81-38 victory over the Hartford Orioles. The Highlanders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Orioles, too.

Homestead's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trevor Polite led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. That's the most rebounds Polite has posted since back in January. Tommy O'Hagan was another key player, going 6 for 8 on his way to 14 points and three steals.

Homestead's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Hartford, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Homestead will welcome Slinger at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Homestead is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 73.5 points per game this season. As for Hartford, they will host Port Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Port Washington has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
