Volleyball Recap: Risco Has No Trouble Against Cooter

It was a proper cat-fight when Risco took on Cooter on Monday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won eight in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Risco was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-9, 25-15.

Avery Presley paced Risco's offense, picking up 12 kills. Presley got some help from Lorelai Smith and her 31 assists. Carly Akridge controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Risco's victory bumped their record up to 19-10-2. As for Cooter, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-14.

Looking ahead, Risco will take on Holcomb in a tournament on Tuesday. Cooter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
