Soccer Recap: Northwest Cabarrus' Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Northwest Cabarrus was feeling good fresh off their 10-1 takedown of Carson on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans fell just short of the Central Cabarrus Vikings by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Northwest Cabarrus were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than four goals in the four contests prior), but Central Cabarrus' defense proved too tough.

Northwest Cabarrus' goal came courtesy of Megan Story, who's now up to 24 this season.

Northwest Cabarrus' loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-4. As for Central Cabarrus, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-3-1.
