Football Game Preview: Washington County Commanders vs. Somerset Briar Jumpers

Washington County hasn't had much luck against Somerset recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Commanders will head out to square off against the Briar Jumpers at 7:30 p.m.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 48-7, which was the final score in Washington County's tilt against Bardstown on Friday.

Meanwhile, Somerset waltzed into their game on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They enjoyed a cozy 45-26 win over the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs.

Somerset's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Washington County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Washington County and Somerset were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in October of 2022, but Washington County came up empty-handed after a 21-20 defeat. Can the Commanders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
