Baseball Recap: Patrician Academy Starts off Right with Win over Hooper Academy

Patrician Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Hooper Academy Colts 10-1.

Bryson Reid made a splash while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Reid was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Ethan Carr was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Matthew Mize was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Hooper Academy now has a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Patrician Academy will face off against Clarke Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hooper Academy, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Crenshaw Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
