Volleyball Recap: Ipswich Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Ipswich duked it out with Northwestern Area on Thursday. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Ipswich started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-14, 25-14, 25-21.

Ipswich's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Northwestern Area, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Ipswich wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Herreid/Selby on the 20th. As for Northwestern Area, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Leola/Frederick on the 23rd.
