Crab Orchard typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Marion proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 5-2. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Marion's win bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Crab Orchard, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 27-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marion will welcome Carterville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Crab Orchard, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Johnston City at 11:00 a.m. The Indians will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
