Yorktown has gone 7-0-1 against Wes-Del recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Tigers will take on the Warriors at 11:00 a.m. Yorktown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11 runs per game this season.

Yorktown blew Shenandoah out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Shenandoah got their revenge. The Tigers fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 9-7. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Abbey Booher was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Olivia Jaromin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Wes-Del's offense. They fell 4-0 to Knightstown on Thursday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Wes-Del saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailee West, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Wes-Del's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Yorktown, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 11-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Yorktown has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Wes-Del struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Everything went Yorktown's way against Wes-Del in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Yorktown made off with a 10-0 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
