After losing to Savannah Arts Academy the last time they met, South Effingham decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Panthers 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

South Effingham was led to victory by Lauren Olson and Jada Hill. Olson had six digs and five aces, while Hill had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces Hill has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good servers: South Effingham was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matches.

When it comes to explaining why Savannah Arts Academy lost on Tuesday, don't look at Bella Jaqua. Despite the final result, she had 11 aces and six digs. Another player making a difference was Maggie Allen, who had 11 digs and three aces.

South Effingham's win bumped their record up to 33-10. As for Savannah Arts Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-24 record this season.
