Softball Recap: North Valley Continues Home Dominance on Monday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Valley had no problem doing just that on Monday. They came out on top against the Rainier Columbians by a score of 9-6.

North Valley pushed their record up to 11-11 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Rainier, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.

Coming up, North Valley will challenge South Umpqua on Wednesday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. Rainier does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
