Mt. Pleasant barely beat Keokuk the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Chiefs with a sharp 14-4 victory on Thursday. Considering the Panthers have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Mt. Pleasant's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Keokuk, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Pleasant will venture away from home to face off against West Burlington at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Keokuk, they will head out to challenge Fairfield at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Chiefs surely won't give up without a fight.
