Basketball Recap: Quakertown Takes a Loss

Quakertown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials and fell 69-34. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-16.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plymouth Whitemarsh to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mani Sajid, who posted 21 points. Sajid's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Terron Davis was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points and four steals.

Quakertown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quakertown and Hatboro-Horsham will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Plymouth Whitemarsh will take on Wissahickon in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Plymouth Whitemarsh knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Wissahickon likes a good challenge.
