Soccer Game Preview: Manor vs. Bayside

The Manor Mustangs will head out to challenge the Bayside Marlins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Manor will be strutting in after a win while Bayside will be coming in after a defeat.

Manor barely beat Lake Taylor the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs never let the Titans get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory two weeks ago. The win continues a trend for Manor in their matchups with Lake Taylor: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Bayside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Kempsville, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Bayside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Kempsville are ranked 32nd).

Manor's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Bayside, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Manor might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Bayside in their previous matchup back in March of 2017. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
