Basketball Recap: Madeline Mcgill's Big Game Can't Quite Lead West Liberty-Salem over Fort Recovery

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Liberty-Salem can now relate to. They took a 40-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Recovery Indians on Tuesday.

West Liberty-Salem lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Madeline McGill, who posted six points and seven boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last eight games she's played. Addison Wallen was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.

West Liberty-Salem's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Fort Recovery, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-12.

West Liberty-Salem does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Recovery, they will head out to take on Arcanum at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
