If Rangely wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Caprock Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Katie Repshire. The Eagles skirted past the Panthers 3-2 thanks in part to Repshire, who had 19 digs and two aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10.3 digs per game.

Caprock Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Rangely into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-20, 25-19, 15-25, 15-9.

Despite the loss, Rangely still got an impressive performance from Kaelyn Geer, who had 24 digs and two aces. Geer has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last five times she's played. Aubrianna Tapia also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Caprock Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-3. As for Rangely, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Caprock Academy will venture away from home to challenge North Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rangely, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Vail Mountain on the 13th.
