Battle Mountain entered their tilt with Steamboat Springs on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Sailors by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Battle Mountain had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 28-26, 25-16, 25-12.

Loss or not, Steamboat Springs got some senior leadership from Macee Wettlaufer and Cam Romero. Wettlaufer had 34 digs, while Romero had 34 assists and 18 digs. Romero has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more assists the last ten times she's played.

Battle Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Steamboat Springs, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.
