Baseball Recap: Green Bay Preble Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Green Bay Preble extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-0. They beat the Ashwaubenon Jaguars by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-4 on Friday.

Landon Micolichek looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Marco Aregoni was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Harrison Selk was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

As for Ashwaubenon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by just one run.

On Ashwaubenon's side, Caden Blasczyk was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. Ian Justman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Green Bay Preble is set to take on their familiar foe West De Pere at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ashwaubenon will challenge rival Manitowoc Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
