Baseball Recap: Ellet Takes a Loss

If Ellet was feeling good fresh off their 19-2 takedown of North last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Orangemen lost 11-2 to the McKinley Bulldogs on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Orangemen in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Ellet saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keaton McKeel, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Josh Sims was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Ellet's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for McKinley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Ellet will host Garfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for McKinley, they will head out to take on Hoover at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
