Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Takes a Loss

Faith Christian lost against Still Creek Christian last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Faith Christian Saints fell 44-34 to the Still Creek Christian Colts.

When it comes to explaining why Faith Christian lost, don't look at Jayden Avila. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 14 en route to 16 points and five rebounds.

Still Creek Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeremy Reed led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 18 boards. The dominant performance also gave Reed a new career-high in steals (four). Logan Walton was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Faith Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Still Creek Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.
