Elkhart is 2-7 against the Cardinals since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Elkhart Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Turpin Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. Elkhart is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.

Last Tuesday, Elkhart ended up a good deal behind the Trojans and lost 68-53. While losing is never fun, Elkhart can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Trojans are ranked 94th).

Meanwhile, Turpin put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 73-48 margin over Boise City. The win made it back-to-back wins for Turpin.

Bryson Parker was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Jhett Huffman was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.

Elkhart's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Turpin, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Elkhart took a serious blow against the Cardinals in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 66-38. Will Elkhart have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
